We had such a fun time discovering the charming Bay of San Fruttuoso, where the crystal-clear waters met amazing views. The hotel staff curated unique activities for us, and their cocktail welcome was a good surprise. Plus, our non-service dog felt right at home!
In my wife's opinion, more family-friendly dining options would be great.

Had 1 night in Portofino, spending my time here lovely. The location was stunning - next to the Eight, the harbour and beautiful shops and a variety of restaurants. I tried some drinks at wine bar Wine Bar Jolly, located 10 minutes walk away. The room was luxurious and big size with nice size bathroom and central heating, an electronic key card, and TV. The staff were gentle and excellent every time I needed help.

The room was reasonably large and with a private safe, a minibar, and central heating at your disposal, nice view. The location was magnificent, we were a short way from the heart of Portofino.

Straight facts, no fluff
The rooms are notably cramped, with limited views. Service can be hit or miss, and a lack of essential amenities, like hot water, detracts from the experience. Prepare for high prices without the expected quality or value in return.

Unexpected Delight on Our Vacation
Woke up to amazing views each morning, and the staff surprised us with personalized tea when my daughter was unwell. Truly caring service!
Our room had some minor issues like inadequate shower pressure, which contrasted the otherwise stellar experience.

Staff were kind, attentive, friendly. Room was lovely. Very nice size and beautiful large bathroom. Location in Portofino fantastic and easy to reach by car from airport. Free wireless internet a plus. Beach small but very nice although very expensive. Weather was superb.

The luxurious rooms and bathrooms. The rooms were lovely to comeback to after a day sightseeing and walking. A Gin and Tonic sitting at the bar in the evening after dining out was also lovely though we were often the only people there. We thought of this as a plus but others may not.
Most of the staff were lovely but some of them were quite off hand and we sometimes felt we were bothering them. A girl called Julia was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfasts were lovely where croissants, various cakes, cereals and yoghurts are provided. However, any cooked food was an extra charge - omelettes, eggs, bacon, etc. We thought various hams and cheeses could have been made available for breakfasts due to the cost of the hotel.

The room felt cramped and lacked proper sound insulation between walls!!! The absence of a hotel bar for casual relaxation and overpriced basic amenities.

The hotel was very comfortable and we had a well appointed and comfortable room with a great bathroom and quality amenities. Staff were thoughtful and helpful and it was great to be able to use the beach facilities of the sister hotel although this was very expensive.
The hotel is not great value for money. It is expensive and a long way back from the harbour with no view of anything except the road and local washing lines! There is also no restaurant at the hotel. It would have been better for us to stay at the hotel's sister property in the next bay which is on the beach with nice views and better facilities.
